Good Reads from the Web This Week: Social Media, Blogging and More {1}

Social Media and Blogging AdviceHere are articles we read this week that got us thinking:

Mom 101 provided essential information to brands in Blind tweeting and public pitching. Make it stop. Please. We couldn’t agree more.

Michelle Longo wrote a sponsored post for ZonePerfect Bars, In the Zone, that is a perfect model for bloggers looking for an example of how to write a sponsored post that is honest, interesting and informative.

Honest Mom has advice on How to Easily Outsmart Facebook and See the Posts YOU Want to See. It really works.

HootSource from HootSuite created a Dr. Seuss-Inspired Guide to Twitter. Most of these got it exactly right, but a couple were misses for us.  We’re not sure a tweet every hour isn’t a little too much tweeting, and we don’t usually recommend responding to all negative comments — some fires are best left to go out on their own.

And outside of the online world, the 2nd Annual Sandy Hook Ride on Washington is taking place from March 8-11, when 26 cyclists will ride from Sandy Hook to Washington to remember all victims of gun violence. Here is the full schedule of events:

There will be a stop in Morristown, NJ on Sunday, March 9, and Kristin is one of the organizers. We hope if you’re local, you can join us for this important event.
