Music is healing, so Domestic Violence Awareness Month seems like the perfect time to take advantage of a musical event that’s all about benefiting those who need healing. The Love You Girl Foundation is pleased to be sponsoring a celebration of survival and support in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On Thursday, October 8th at 8 PM, the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) will host Avery Sunshine in A Night of Soulful Sound.
The artists for the evening are rooted in Gospel, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, and Classical symphonies. Avery Sunshine’s background is in gospel singing, and her voice has been described as both bold and luminous. Gordon Chambers, a Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer has penned some of R&B’s most iconic legends, including Anita Baker. Charisa the Violin Diva cites Gospel, Jazz and Classical influences, and her current music is a jazz-infused take on contemporary soul.
Together, these three eclectic and talented artists guarantee a unique, inspirational evening of music and uplifting community.
Tickets are available at the SOPAC website: http://www.sopacnow.org/love-you-girl/ or by calling the SOPAC Box Office at (973) 313-2787.
