DREAM Martial Arts Invites the Community to Celebrate Its Ribbon Cutting with Food, Music, and Family Fun
DREAM MARTIAL ARTS, located at 604 Valley Road in Upper Montclair, invites the community to join a Family Fun Day and Ribbon Cutting event on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 11 AM to 4 PM. This event is free and open to the public.
DREAM Martial Arts focuses on families and community, so the Family Fun Day will be a welcoming, fun, and positive event featuring a bouncy house, food, music, games for all ages, and prizes. Montclair’s Mayor Jackson will preside over a ribbon cutting, officially opening DREAM for the season.
“I’m excited to join the Montclair community,” commented Emilio DeLia, DREAM founder and co-owner. “I have created a program for families that supports mind, body and community. DREAM teaches self-discovery, self-improvement and physical conditioning to help balance our fast-paced, highly distracted world. I want families to come through our doors and feel a sense of calm and community. Our staff and teachers are trained in mindfulness meditation, yoga and child development. Those values and teachings are a core component of the DREAM curriculum.”
Families interested in learning more about how DREAM Martial Arts operates can drop in anytime during the day with a special Belt Promotion Ceremony happening at noon. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate techniques. All the facilities will be accessible during the event, including the “parent lounge” that provides a space for parents and caregivers to be productive and comfortable while children are in class.
You’re invited to celebrate and enjoy the community at this exciting event, while supporting neighboring businesses during the Upper Montclair Sidewalk Sale happening the same day!
About DREAM Martial Arts
Utilizing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a base art, but incorporating a variety of forms including Judo, boxing, karate and hapkido, we train our students in practical techniques for real world situations and teach them about the responsibility that comes with that knowledge. Mindfulness is imbued in the entire curriculum and an important training modality for concentration and stress reduction.
